Since January 2024, Kenya no longer issues visas on arrival. All visitors (except East African Community citizens) must apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before travel.
Tanzania issues visas on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) and Dar es Salaam, but applying online in advance is strongly recommended to avoid queues.
