We believe transparency builds trust. Our booking terms are clear, fair and designed to protect both you and the quality of your safari experience.
A safari reservation is confirmed upon receipt of a 30% non-refundable deposit of the total safari cost. The reservation is held for 5 business days after quote acceptance, pending receipt of the deposit. Reservations not secured by deposit within this period may be released.For bookings made within 60 days of travel, the full payment is required at the time of booking.
The remaining 70% balance is due no later than 60 days before departure. For bookings made within 60 days, the full amount is payable at booking. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of the reservation and forfeiture of the deposit.

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all safari guests. rip cancellation/interruption, medical emergencies, and personal liability. We reserve the right to decline service to guests without adequate travel insurance documentation.
Changes to confirmed bookings (dates, destinations, accommodation) are accommodated where possible and subject to availability. Changes requested within 30 days of departure may incur an amendment fee of $50 per change.
Horizon Explorer Africa Safaris shall not be liable for changes or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, government travel advisories, political instability, pandemic, or park closures. In such cases, we will offer alternative dates, a credit note, or a partial refund at our discretion.
Safari packages are quoted including all current park fees. In the event of government fee increases, Horizon Explorer reserves the right to adjust the invoice accordingly. We provide advance notice of any such adjustments.
