Horizon Explorer Africa Safaris was founded in Nairobi by a team of passionate East African professionals with one shared belief: that a safari is not just a holiday — it is a life-changing encounter with the natural world.

We watched as the safari industry became dominated by online platforms and generic tour operators who had never stood in the Masai Mara at dawn, never felt the ground tremble as a wildebeest river crossing unfolded. We knew there was a better way.

Our founders combine decades of field experience, deep knowledge of Kenya and Tanzania’s ecosystems, and genuine relationships with local communities, park rangers and lodge operators. Every safari we design reflects that depth.
