Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the Maasai Mara.After an early breakfast, leave the lodge with a picnic lunch and spend the day on the reserve.There is no fixed wildlife route. Your guide will adjust the day's drive according to recent sightings, weather, road conditions and your interests.You may spend time watching a pride of lions, follow elephants across the plains, search for cheetahs in open grassland or stop to observe large herds of zebra and wildebeest.The Mara is also home to giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas, gazelles, topi, impala and numerous bird species.During migration season, your guide may also take you towards areas where wildebeest and zebra are concentrated.
