The Ngorongoro Conservation Area brings a dramatic change in scenery as the safari reaches the highlands.
The main wildlife experience is a game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera containing a variety of habitats and substantial wildlife populations.
Families may see lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and other species. Black rhino sightings are possible but not guaranteed.
The crater also provides an opportunity for children to understand how geology, water and vegetation influence wildlife distribution.

The final major wildlife destination is the Serengeti, where vast open plains provide a classic East African safari setting.
Game drives may reveal lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and many other species.
If your family travels during the broader wildebeest migration period, wildlife movements can add another dimension to the experience. The migration follows rainfall, grazing and water availability, so its location varies throughout the year.

The Maasai Mara forms the Kenyan section of this cross-border safari.
The reserve is known for open grasslands and abundant wildlife, with game drives providing opportunities to encounter lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, hyenas and other species.
During the appropriate season, the Mara can also be part of the annual wildebeest migration.
River crossings in the Mara ecosystem are unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed.

Travel from Arusha to Nairobi through the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Maasai Mara, experiencing three major wildlife destinations across two countries in one continuous safari.
Whether your priority is Big Five wildlife, predators, photography, the Great Wildebeest Migration or simply experiencing Kenya and Tanzania together, the itinerary can be planned around your travel dates and interests.
