The balloon launch begins at 5:30am — before the sun rises. As the canopy fills with hot air and the gondola lifts from the Mara’s floor, the entire game reserve unfolds beneath you in the pale light of dawn. The silence is absolute. The scale of the wilderness is overwhelming.

Over the next 60–90 minutes, you drift over predator territories, river crossings and vast golden plains. Your pilot points out wildlife below. Your camera works overtime.
