8-Day Aberdare, Ol Pejeta & Maasai Mara Safari | Kenya

Explore Aberdare, Ol Pejeta and Maasai Mara on an 8-day Kenya safari with forest wildlife, rhino conservation, Big Five opportunities and savannah game drives.

Forests, Rhino Conservation & Maasai Mara Wildlife

Experience three very different sides of Kenya on an 8-day Aberdare, Ol Pejeta and Maasai Mara safari. This itinerary combines the cool highlands and forested landscapes of Aberdare National Park, the conservation-focused wildlife experience of Ol Pejeta Conservancy, and the open savannah of the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Rather than following a conventional Kenya safari route, this journey gives you a broader mix of landscapes and wildlife experiences. You move from mountain forests to Laikipia’s wildlife-rich conservancy landscapes before finishing with several days in the Maasai Mara.

Best Time for an Aberdare, Ol Pejeta & Maasai Mara Safari

This safari can be enjoyed throughout the year, although wildlife conditions and weather vary seasonally.

January to February can offer generally drier conditions and good wildlife viewing in many parts of Kenya.

The March to May long-rains period can bring greener landscapes and fewer visitors in some areas, although rainfall can affect road conditions and daily safari activities.

The best travel period depends on whether your priority is wildlife viewing, photography, migration season, green landscapes, budget or a particular type of accommodation.
